China State Administration of Foreign Exchange, Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs jointly promulgated the “Measures for On-line Inspection of the Collection and Settlement of Foreign Exchange in Export” recently. These measures are implemented for trial over the country since July 14, 2008 and will come into force on August 4th 2008. To help foreign trade enterprises in our province understand and master the new policies and make related preparations, we organized one training session of new policies about on-line inspection of the collection and settlement of foreign exchange in export on July 16th. More than 130 people from financial, customs declaration and business departments of related foreign trade enterprises in the province and cities attended this training session.

At this training session, responsible persons of Current Account Division and Capital Account Division of Zhejiang Branch of China State Administration of Foreign Exchange provided the detailed introduction to respectively new policies about on-line inspection of the collection and settlement of foreign exchange in export and registration and management of foreign debts under the enterprise’s trade, including background, characteristics and implementation significance of the new policy, its applicable subject matters, objects to be inspected, work process, technical means, precautions and the policies relating to registration and management of foreign debts under the enterprise’s trade, and answered the questions asked by the trainees on the spot.

This training was well received by the enterprises and the persons attending the training exceeded specified quota. Most of them considered this training very punctual and necessary. It was very pertinent and provided a solution to urgent problems. This training enabled the enterprises to get familiar with the new policies about on-line inspection of the collection and settlement of foreign exchange in export and help the implementation of new policies and steady development of foreign trade business of the enterprises.
