On July 11, Jiaxing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau and Jiaxing Foreign Affairs Office jointly organized a small foreign economic and investment seminar at Jiaxing Administrative Center. 20 people attended this seminar, includingthe deputies of the enterprises located in the five counties and two districts, deputies of Wenzhou Commercial Chamber, responsible persons of Jiaxing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau and Jiaxing Foreign Affairs Office, and the deputy of Western Australia. Mr. Chen Guoping, deputy director of Jiaxing Foreign Affairs Office presided over this seminar and Mr. Zhang Jun, deputy director of Jiaxing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau gave a speech.

At the seminar, investment deputies from Western Australia gave an introduction to investment environment and trade opportunities of Western Australia. Western Australia is situated in the golden inland in the south of Australia, with rich mineral, oil and gas resources and is the largest supplier of China’s iron ores. Besides, it is also one of the main exporters of alumina, nickel, cobalt and other mineral ores. Agricultural foods of Western Australia are its second largest export industry, only next to mineral ores, and it is also one of main suppliers of agricultural products for China’s.

Quite a lot of deputies from the enterprises took  great interest in the rich resources and vast land of Western Australia and asked many questions and gave their opinions.

At last, Mr. Zhang Jun hoped that both parties participating in the seminar will often contact and communicate with each other and encourage enterprises to further develop their international market and make investment in foreign countries by making use of the features of China’s current macro economic environment.
